TOPIC: HOW TO WRITE A BIOGRAPHY
A biography is a text in which you find information about someone’s life. Because of that, it is very important for you to know who you are going to write about and what kind of information you are going to include in the biography.
- What is the past simple the tense used for?
- Which are the affirmative, negative and interrogative structures for that verb tense?
- How do you write a good biography? Which verbs are commonly used in this kind of written task? Which information do you have to include in a biography?
PRODUCT
- Surf the web to look for information about the past simple tense.
- Write a chart with the structures for the affirmative, negative and interrogative forms of the verb in that tense.
- Then, write a short biography of an important person in your country (a politician, a musician, an actor/actress, etc)

EVALUATION
The writing task will be evaluated taking into account the information provided in the biography, the vocabulary used and the correct use of the verb tenses. To do that, the students will have to hand in a draft version before the final one, in order to check and correct their writings to improve them.
